5 Tuscaloosa places whose own sites list a patio, terrace or outdoor seating: four downtown and by the river, plus Five Guys in Midtown Village.
Last checked 2026-10-17. Refreshed every three months.
Most of Tuscaloosa’s confirmed patios are downtown, within a few blocks of 20th Avenue (Big Bad Breakfast, Loosa Brews, Mellow Mushroom), with River’s terrace on Jack Warner Parkway by the Black Warrior River. Five Guys in Midtown Village on McFarland Boulevard East lists outdoor seating too.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Tuscaloosa’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 17, 2026. A place is on this list only when its own website says it has a patio, terrace or outdoor seating. Many restaurants and bars that our map data marks with outdoor seating are not here because their own sites did not say so, did not load for us, or do not exist: among them Avenue Pub, Egan’s, The Houndstooth, The Red Shed, Innisfree, Gallette’s and Taco Mama. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
