How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Tuscaloosa’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 17, 2026. We left out Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’ and The Baked Bear, whose sites did not give us full hours or a Tuscaloosa page (Dunkin’ and The Baked Bear are on our breakfast and coffee and desserts lists); Mi Casita Bakery, whose web page no longer exists; and Babe’s Doughnuts, Daylight Donuts and the Flowers bakery thrift store, which have no website of their own that we could find and which we could not confirm a second way. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
