Where it is

The city’s District 7 specific plan lists the neighborhoods here: Southpark and Greenbrier east of Greensboro Avenue, Springbrook west of McFarland Boulevard, Skyland Park, which the plan calls a very large neighborhood south of Skyland Boulevard, and many large apartment complexes in the southeast, south of Skyland Boulevard. It names Running Brook and Windsong South as more recent developments. (Council district lines have been redrawn since the 2009 plan.)

For this guide we drew the area from Hargrove Road south to below I-20/59, between Greensboro Avenue and 10th Avenue on the west and McFarland Boulevard on the east. Skyland Boulevard is U.S. 11. About 93% of the land we drew is inside city limits; the plan notes pockets of county land surrounded by the city south of Skyland Boulevard, so check the city limits map for an address. Most of the area is in ZIP code 35405; the northwest part is in 35401.
